Hidden gem! What an amazing cozy and peaceful place. Everything is exactly how they described and more. This place feels like you stepped right into a dream. The attention to detail are displayed throughout the entire property! From the hot tub to the covered firepit on the lake. I can't say enough about this place!! We will be returning!! ❤️

Of our 14 day tour through beautiful Alaska this was definitely our favorite! We loved everything about it! It started to get dark outside then all of a sudden everything was beautifully lit up! Loved the charm that this cozy place offered! The paintings were gorgeous! We also loved the King Sleigh Bed! So private & relaxing! Loved waking up to the ducks in the lake! The freezer was also nice to freeze our fresh catch! Thank you for a lovely stay!

The lake setting was spectacular and peaceful. Everything was comfortable down to the cushy towels. Even enjoyed the wine. Loved it!!

It was so nice having our own piece of paradise to stay in for the week. We look forward to coming back next year.

An absolute GEM find of an Airbnb! Stunning location right on the water, the owner was super accommodating and kind, bed was super cozy and a huge shower plenty of bathroom space! Went above and beyond / will stay here again!

Nikki’s Moose cabin was a real treat! It is incredibly private and peaceful. Looking out to the lake was dreamy! It was located nicely on the Kenai peninsula and served as a home base for day trips for a total of 5 days and 4 nights. The kitchen had everything we needed. We loved having breakfast on the deck overlooking the lake. The giant bed is so comfortable. As a child, I always dreamed of sleeping on a cloud and this bed is probably the closest I’ll come to that dream. Will definitely stay at the Moose Cabin again but next time will go for a swim!

Sadly with how busy we were we only stayed at the cabin for about 5 hours to sleep. However we could have spent our whole time in Alaska at this place. Beautiful surroundings, peaceful, and love the setup of the cabin. Highly recommend if your in the area.

We spent ten nights here while my husband fished the red salmon run (sockeyes). We stayed in the Moose Cabin, and sure enough, a moose wandered by on our first morning! The cabins back onto a beautiful private lake, and I enjoyed reading out there while watching the baby ducks swim around. If you are in the Soldotna area, you couldn't find a nicer place to stay!

Such a unique stay! Some highlights are the private deck that overlooks the water, the fire-pit under the gazebo, and the turkeys/roosters/geese! We had one rainy day while here, and it was so soothing to sit and read in the yurt. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend.

This spot was so serene and peaceful! The lake was beautiful and we really enjoyed having a bonfire down on the patio. Also, it was the cherry on top to be able to bring our dogs with us! I would love to book this spot again and will be recommending it to family :)

This is a great cabin in a beautiful setting! Nice porch and deck by the lake. We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. We saw eagles, a moose, ducks, muskrat and could hear loons on nearby lakes. Very quiet spot even on a holiday weekend. Loved it - would stay here again!

This place is excellent. Appears just like the photos. Clean, beautiful, quiet oasis. 5 stars & I hope to stay again in future. The lights on the outside give it a special magical touch. One note is that this isn’t the best place for young toddlers. This is more my fault for not focusing better on the photos & description, not fault of the host. Bed is on a 2nd floor loft with some steep stairs. We had to move a recliner in front of the stairway to avoid falls/accidents at night. When I do come again, it probably won’t be with a child under 4.

We absolutely loved our stay - the cabin was tucked away in a private neighborhood right on a lake with a private dock. Perfect for a cozy romantic weekend getaway and 15 minutes from downtown making it easy to explore without the hassle of driving long distances. Nikki was an amazing host - super communicative and friendly. Highly recommend!

We had such a good stay!! The place was very nice and cozy, and the environment was very peaceful. There were a lot of neat touches such as the vanity in the bathroom, the large bathtub with jets, surround sound and lighting. The host was overall responsive and very friendly. The WiFi was not all that great, but that shouldn’t be the main reason you book this place. We are adding this place to our favorites and are hoping to visit again!

The yurt was beautiful and secluded! A wonderful place to get back into nature and a good place to go to both cooper landing and homer for day trips! The power unexpectedly went out and Nikki was wonderful and helpful toward every situation that was presented!

I absolutely loved staying here! I booked the Moose Cabin for a romantic and relaxing weekend to celebrate my anniversary with my boyfriend. The tub is huge and the jets are *chefs kisses*. Nikki was such an incredible host. I wanted to surprise my bf and set up the place all cute with rose petals, wine chocolate etc. Nikki worked with me to set the whole place up before we even arrived. It was gorgeous and she put so much effort and thought into it. Even getting us a nice bottle of wine and cream puffs for dessert. It was beautiful and I couldn’t thank her enough. We will definitely be coming back

This was the end of our Alaska trip & just what we needed to decompress from the whirlwind of activities we had done. Stepping outside & not seeing or hearing anyone was actually a treat! :) Lots of space downstairs & in the bathroom. Kitchen had everything we needed (even an air fryer to heat up leftover Halibut from Homer). Great quiet 2 days!

Awesome place to stay. We stayed for 3 nights and could have easily called it home. Perfect for us. The deck and private dock are wonderful. Nikki was very accommodating by bringing a freezer over to put our fish in.

Peaceful clean location. Very cute yurt well laid out. Very well laid out. Listened to the loons and the occasional chickens. Saw a baby moose several times

We really enjoyed staying here and felt right at home :) We spent three nights at Nikki's after a week of roughing it (camping and dry cabins) and so we were extra appreciative of the huge, excellent bed, the kitchen, and and the luxurious bathroom with spa tub and unlimited hot water! The private deck on the water was also great because we still got to enjoy that out-in-the-woods feeling.

Great place to stay!!!

One of the nicest places I’ve stayed.

We enjoyed our stay here at the cabin! The cabin was clean and comfortable, with an industrial strength heater. The kitchen came with a large air fryer which was perfect to cooking up our fresh caught salmon! The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. The unit overlooks a private lake and the cabin comes with its own private dock. The mosquitoes all around the area (for many miles) are heavy so I wouldn’t expect to spend any time outside here in the summer. But there is a nice view of the lake from indoors. My biggest complaint is that the 2nd story windows in the unit do not have any blinds and are unreachable. The “stained” glass window in the loft prevented us from getting much sleep, and we had to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed to keep it from beaming directly into our eyes. The host was super nice and the unit was well stocked. I would stay here again if there were blinds or eye masks.

At first my partner wasnt sure if an airbnb would be worth the money, but this place absolutely is. The cabin was fantastic and the hosts were great. Having the deck right on the lake to relax on in the morning was so peaceful. The only draw back for us was the fabric softener used on the linens. If you have sensative skin I reccomend talking to the host im sure she would accomodate. I've already revcomended this place to several people.

We absolutely loved this cabin! I booked this place as a surprise for my husband’s birthday and he was very impressed with the find. The cabin was so clean and cozy, the bed was very comfortable and the whole space felt peaceful. The dock and lake are just perfect for a relaxing getaway! They even had an air fryer! It was a short drive from some good restaurants and breweries in Soldotna, and we explored some nearby beaches! Bummed the rain kept us from an evening fire but the hosts were so kind as to have firewood ready to go for us! We did sit under the covered porch and grilled dinner which was lovely. 10/10 recommend, this place is perfect!

Just as expected! We felt secluded on our private little patio. In the yard we ducks/chickens/rabbits, very fun to see. Beautiful view off the patio and soooo quite and peaceful. Loved the mini kitchen, was very thoughtful to provide coffee amenities, we forgot to pack. The yurt was comfortable and cozy for us. Short drive to Soldotna to grab food/entertainment. Will definitely try to book again!

Nikki's place was amazing! My husband surprised me with a relaxing weekend for my 40th birthday and it was perfect! It was quiet and cozy! The bathtub is wonderful! Nikki was super kind and had a bottle of wine in the fridge and even delivered a small cake for us to celebrate with! I cant wait to come back this summer to see the lake and sit out by the fire!

We really enjoyed our stay! A wonderful getaway from Anchorage and WOW the fall colors were so amazing. We saw a bunny, squirrel, and momma moose with her baby during our stay! The communication was awesome with the host! The location is perfect because you get the out of town feel with still being close to town. The lake is gorgeous and you still have the privacy of not being right next to someone. The yurt was cute, cozy and warm! This was the perfect little getaway for my husband and I!

It was one of the most peaceful places!

Adorable cabin on the lake! Very well equipped with kitchen, full bath with large jetted tub, BBQ, TV (bring DVDs or rent them), WIFI. Cell reception with AT&T was doable. The private dock and grounds were amazing! The pictures do not do that justice. We enjoyed evenings down there by the fire and it was incredibly peaceful and quiet. Host are very friendly but give you your space. They are there only if you need them. We will absolutely return again! This is a MUST stay in Alaska.

Our Yurt experience was great. Everything my partner and I needed and wanted. Beautiful spot on the lake and hearing the birds at dusk was a great added touch. The owners were wonderful. Very helpful and communication was amazing. They were on site but we had our privacy. Highly recommend staying at the yurt.

Staying at the Gunning Yurt was a perfect getaway! Felt very private yet our host was close by if needed. The wrap around porch with the view over the lake is incredible, so peaceful and made the perfect backdrop for grilling and eating outside. It was well equipped with kitchen supplies and the bed was very comfortable. So nice to have a full bathroom and shower while still having the ‘rustic’ feel. We’ll definitely be back!
